Stations of the Cross - Maria Schönanger
More than 200 years ago, Agnes Zechner made the decision to create a new image there where from time immemorial a simple wooden cross had stood, and to establish a wooden chapel for it. The ceremonial consecration of today's church took place in the year 1933. About half way from St Lambrecht's Abbey to Maria Schönanger, which leads along the 14 constructed Stations of the Cross to the church of pilgrimage, is the "angelic fountain", whose water is said to have a healing effect on diseases of the eye.
